Once again, Half Japanese and friends gather for a day of sun (lots this year) and fun (even more this year).

I had the great opportunity to attend a photographic lighting workshop with Zack Arias, the hardest working man in strobe business.

These photos are the result of an exhaustive (15 hours) and incredibly informative day. Zack covered everything from lighting equipment to the inverse square law for light fall off, to lighting modifiers.

We had three photogenic and talented models to work with as well. They were all very patient with us and were very tolerant of my attempts at casual banter. Gotta work on that!
