Course Description:

Route 1 Velo promotes the Greenbelt Park Training Race Series, a USA Cycling permitted event that takes place each Wednesday night for 16 weeks during the height of the road racing season. Now in its 30th year, it is one of the longest running training series in the nation and the largest attended event in the Mid-Atlantic region.

USAF Cycling Classic Clarendon Cup

Description:

The Clarendon Cup, now in its 12th year, is part of USA Cycling's National Racing Calendar. The race showcases a form of cycling involving a series of high-speed bike races that take place on a 1km course on city streets. The Clarendon Cup is known as one of the most difficult criterium races in the U.S. due to technical demands of the course and the quality of the participants.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: 1.1mile loop with three turns; a sweeping downhill and a big-ring uphill finish with a kicker in the last 50 meters. The course is wide and fast with an excellent road surface. Many breakaways have succeeded in previous editions.
